Radiate Art Space is excited to announce that we are hiring a Managing Director.

We are seeking Managing Director who is a dynamic and passionate person to manage our growing organization. This is a part-time, 10-hour week position, with flexibility in the weekly schedule and working location. 

As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, you will be the public face of the organization and responsible for all public communications. You will also work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization is meeting its mission and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive all incoming inquiries (mail, email, phone and in person) and answer questions or redirect to others in a timely manner

  • Work with the board in updating all information on social media and in the newsletter

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the organization's facilities and equipment

  • Supervise and mentor staff members and volunteers

  • Attend Selectboard meetings as necessary and work with other town organizations

  • Work with the board to plan and organize workshops, classes events, exhibitions, and other programs that promote the arts in the community

  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, artists, and community partners


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in arts management, business, or a related field OR related/equivalent experience

  • Experience in leadership roles 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Working knowledge of Gmail and Google Docs required; familiarity with Excel is a plus

  • Knowledge of the local arts community and its stakeholders is a plus
