Adult/Teen Art Exploration

Picasso said, "There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, and others who transform a yellow spot into the sun." Van Gogh said, "How lovely yellow is. It stands for the sun." We will not limit our palette to yellow! We will work with acrylic paint to create our own sun paintings and share our inspirations and outcomes. Come enjoy the fun!

This is part of an ongoing series for adults/teens on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Be inspired by something or someone and spend time creating. Process is the goal with the potential for an accidental product!

Instructor: Judy Bush
Cost: $20 a class, or $100 punch pass for 6 sessions.
All materials provided.

Valentine’s Glass Workshop

Join Richmond, Vermont artist, Christy Witters in creating a valentine’s suncatcher and pocket heart for your sweetie. In this two-hour adult workshop, you will learn how to design and cut a unique kiln-ready piece of glass in time for Valentine’s Day.

No prior glass experience is necessary! Glass, cutting tools, project ideas, and tons of support and encouragement will be provided. Projects will be fired in a kiln and ready for pick-up shortly after the class.

Thursday, Feb. 8th, 6-8pm

$40 workshop fee includes all materials and kiln firing. Payment can be made at the workshop.

Thursdays: January 4-25, 2018  •  6-8:30PM

Have you ever been interested in exploring paint, collage, pastels and other art supplies but have been intimidated by the "result"? Do you get stalled by the creative process because you are worried about getting things "right" or doing the work 'correctly"? Have you taken years hiatus from your creative side, and need the nudge to get your creative juices flowing again? 

THIS IS THE CLASS FOR YOU! 

We will be creatively playing, exploring and working with paint, paper, drawing supplies and collage materials in this 4-week process-based class. A supportive, caring and exciting creative environment will develop as we take risks, let go of fear, and take this opportunity to re-ignite your creative self. 

There will be NO pressure to complete or finish a product, but we will instead focus on exploring, playing and finding personal inspiration. 

No previous art experience necessary. 

Note: This class will be VERY different from Emily's one-evening painting workshops. 

Upon registration, a basic, personal supply list will be provided (99% the supplies will be found around your home).

Payment: In full at first class. Check or cash preferred. Class may not be pro-rated.
